Kathryn Black was born 11/26/70 in Portland, ME to Ed Hahn and now late Rosemary Morrison.  After fighting a hard battle with a rare lung disease, she passed away peacefully Wednesday evening surrounded by her loved ones.
Kathryn, often known as Kathi or “Kit Kat”, was a very hard worker, loyal friend, generous caregiver and loved her family fiercely.  As a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she did everything she could to make sure that everyone was always taking care of themselves.
Kathi grew up in Windham with her mother, Rosemary and three of her siblings, Ed, Laurie and Robyn.  She graduated Windham High School and went on to get her Associates Degree in Accounting at Mid State College in Auburn.  She worked very hard in every job she did.  Her most current occupation was being the office manager and billing department for Handyman Tool Rental in Portland.  She enjoyed reading books by her favorite author Stephen King.  She also enjoyed playing Cribbage, Skip Bo, and other card games, as well as solving word puzzles, watching competition shows, crafts, and loved the sound of rain.
In 1991 she became a mother to her oldest son, Shawn, to Donavan in 1997 and to Scott in 1999. Kathi built her life with her husband, Donnie and their boys.  They often all worked together on Volkswagons, trucks and other vehicles.  They traveled to fairs and car shows, and enjoyed the drag races in Oxford.
Kathi also leaves behind her mother-in-law, Anita, her grandchildren, Kameron, Keira and Katie, adopted daughter, Samantha, daughter-in-law, Courtney, siblings, Cherie, Jon, Edwin, Karen, Michael, Marcy and Bri.  She shared a special bond with many more family members and friends. Her closest friends, Tammy, Dee and Melissa.
Kathryn will be sadly missed and never forgotten.  As she has been reunited with her mother, we know she will not be alone in her next Journey.
